A new leak reveals that Apple is planning to launch the new ihpone 7 on September 16^th.

In the past, Apple usually releases new iPhone models on a Friday in mid-September so it’s a safe bet the leak is accurate.

The new model will be vital for the future of the tech giant.

The first 3 months of 2016 saw Apple phone sales drop for the first time ever.

With increasing competition from Samsung and other smartphone makers, it’s possible the dominance of the iPhone may be starting to wane.

Apple needs to find a way to reinvigorate demand for its smartphone.

However, the Wall Street journal reported that one China-based engineer claimed that the new version would not feature a major design change.

They say next year’s edition will likely be the one with the sexy redesign and must-have features.
